Welcome to the
Idaho Training Clearinghouse

The Idaho Training Clearinghouse (ITC), a website listing all current special education related trainings across the state, was created as part of the Idaho Department of Education’s State Improvement Grant to link special educators and parents of students with disabilities with training opportunities across multiple agencies and parent groups.
The ITC has three primary goals:
(1) to inform stakeholders of training opportunities and expedite electronic
registration; (2) to gather evaluative feedback on the usefulness and impact of
trainings to inform future planning for in-service delivery in the state; and
(3) to support distance education by creating online tools to foster learning
communities of trainers and participants across the state.
You can register for membership in our Electronic Learning Communities coming in
September.
Idaho CEC Call for Papers
The Idaho Federation of Council for Exceptional Children invites all interested persons to submit proposals for the October 4-5, 2007 conference in Sun Valley, Idaho. This year’s conference theme “Success For All Students Begins with Positive Motivation” was chosen to encourage an array of presentations that will support all educators to serve students throughout the tiers. Suggested topics include but are not limited to; supporting learners with Autism, Positive Behavior Supports, Response to Intervention, database decisions, access to math and science curriculum, gifted education, assistive technology, and providing support to paraprofessionals and preservice educators.
It is the responsibility of the presenter to develop a presentation that relates to the conference theme. Topics need to address how to connect with students and how to remain focused on their educational and personal achievements. Tell us your secrets to success.
Program selection will be guided by the following criteria: (a) quality of the proposal; (b) innovativeness; (c) importance and timeliness of the topic to the field; (d) practical applicability; and (e) how the presentation addresses issues related to exceptionality.
