The Idaho Early Learning Guidelines are now available online.
The Early Learning Guidelines (ELG) are a set of goals and statements about expectations for children's understanding and behavior. They reflect the wholeness of young children's growth and development and the complexity of our knowledge.
The Early Learning Guidelines are carefully aligned with Early Head Start and Head Start Child Outcomes and developed with alignment to Idaho's K-12 standards. They are divided into broad age ranges from birth to school age.
The ELG were created by a team of Idaho's early childhood professionals for all those who raise, care for, and teach young children.
