YLF 2010 Application Form (MS Word)
Based on submitted applications, selected youth serve as delegates from their communities at the forum on the Boise State University campus and experience college living and navigating campus facilities. The delegates have the opportunity to meet and interact with leaders in the state and nation – policymakers, advocates, and other role models during the learning process. Each delegate creates a “personal leadership plan” to help them reach their future education and career goals. There is no cost for delegates to attend the conference (including travel costs).
Delegates participate in educational programs in the areas of self-esteem, selfadvocacy, choosing a career, the history of disability as a culture, working with policymakers, and assistive technology through presentations by successful adults with disabilities, community leaders, and national speakers.
